Merseyside Transport Trust Open Day 2014

Posted by Robert Hampton on 30th April 2014 at 10:10 am

Once again we will be working with the Merseyside Transport Trust at their open day at the MTT’s Burscough base. This year the event will take place on Sunday 13th July from 10am to 5pm.

There will, once again, be an opportunity to see the 502 up close and inspect the ongoing work that our dedicated volunteers have been carrying out. In addition, the MTT’s fine fleet of vintage buses will be on display, with some vehicles out and about carrying passengers on a “Real Ale Circular” tour visiting various local pubs.

Admission to the open day is free (although donations are welcome, of course!) and parking is available on site (use postcode L40 8TG in your satnav). If you are travelling by public transport, the MTT will be providing a shuttle service of vintage buses from Ormskirk and Burscough Bridge stations to their building.

If you would like to help us publicise the 502’s presence at this event, please download the poster below in PDF format, print it off and display it, or pass it on to anyone who might be interested.

More info about the event, including timetables for the bus services, will be released nearer the time. Keep checking here and the Merseyside Transport Trust web site for more information. You can also follow us on Twitter, or “like” us on Facebook.
